Galaxy S20 FE it is Samsung's latest high-end proposal: as we explained in our review, compared to the rest of the S20 range it has the great advantage of being able to be purchased here in Europe with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor instead of the criticized Exynos 990.
However some users in the weeks following the launch took to reporting some annoying touchscreen issues, which sometimes records ghost touches, at other times does not respond to interactions. A bad tile, and Samsung seems to have taken immediate action to fix it.
At present, in fact, a Update (available for both the LTE and 5G variants) weighing 173 MB that carries the firmware version G78xxXXU1ATJ5. The changelog is short, and talks generically about the usual improvements to system stability, without further clarification.
After carrying it out, however, many S20 FE owners have taken to reporting a significant improvement in touchscreen response. This would not yet be a definitive solution, but a major step forward.
