Open your ears well, because next year Apple could launch as many as three pairs of true wireless headphones: the over-ear headphones, the AirPods Studio, then the AirPods 3, and finally the AirPods Pro 2. And it is precisely on the latter today that new rumors, which talk about launch window and technical features.
That of LeaksApplePro is a voice a little out of the chorus, at least as far as the timing is concerned: if the Digitimes in fact at the end of August they were still talking about an arrival in the first half of 2021, here the indication points to the end of 2021, and even a launch is envisaged at beginning of 2022.
The News would not be substantial, but would constitute an improvement on the product we already know: and therefore greater autonomy And even more effective noise cancellation, all this at the same launch price that had characterized the first AirPods Pro, that is, $249.
The most curious aspect is also the one that arouses the greatest perplexity: it is not clear, in fact, what is meant by "ambient light sensor". If we take the information literally, then we have to ask ourselves which application can find an ambient light sensor on a pair of true wireless headphones.
It could simply be a sensor in charge of understanding whether the headset is worn or not (a function already present on the AirPods Pro and also on the basic ones), or even a bad translation from a Chinese source. If it were just a "light sensor", then it would potentially make much more sense, given that rumors were already circulating about the introduction of new functions related to health monitoring: one could be, for example, the measurement of oxygen saturation in the blood from the lobes.
At present there is nothing confirmed: as always, in the period of Rumor, it is better to have active noise reduction and take the leaked information with all the necessary precautions.
